Eligibility Criteria for Madras High Court Vacancy 2021:

Educational Qualification:

1.	Research Fellow	Candidate should be a Post Graduate in Law (under 10+2+3+3+2 or 10+2+5+2 pattern) from the recognized Universities in the Indian Union and recognized by the Bar Council of India for admission as Advocate or Attorney of an Indian Court, for the post of Research Fellow.
2.	Research Assistant	Candidate should be a Graduate in Law (under 10+2+3+3 or 10+2+5 pattern) from the recognized Universities in the Indian Union and recognized by the Bar Council of India for admission as Advocate or Attorney of an Indian Court, for the post of Research Assistant

Age Limit: A Candidate must not have attained the age of 30 years as on 01.07.2020 (i.e. candidate should not have born before 2.7.1990). Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules. Go through Madras High Court official Notification 2021 for more reference

Selection Procedure for Madras High Court:

Selection Procedure:

- A Committee of Hon’ble Judges / Board of Governors constituted by the Hon’ble the Chief Justice will select the candidates on the basis of academic record, achievement in co-curricular activities and performance in the oral test. If there are large number of applicants, candidate will be shortlisted for oral test on the basis of academic record and achievement in co-curricular activities.

-The Research Fellow / Research Assistant during the assignment is liable to maintain a high standard of reputation and integrity commensurate with the responsibilities entrusted to him/her.

-The Research Fellow / Research Assistant will not be conferred with any right or cannot claim preference for any employment in the Madras High Court Service.

-The selection of Candidates for the posts of Research Fellow and Research Assistant will be made on the basis of Oral Test, which will be conducted in Chennai only. No request for change of venue will be entertained.

-The date, time and venue for Oral Test will be communicated / intimated to the eligible candidates, in due course.

- No TA / DA / Accommodation / Conveyance will be provided to the Candidates who are required to attend the Oral Test.

-The selected candidates will be posted at the Tamil Nadu State Judicial Academy, Chennai-28 or at the place decided by the Board of the Governors of the Tamil Nadu State Judicial Academy, Chennai, from time-to-time, as approved by the Hon’ble the Chief Justice.

How to apply for Madras High Court Research Assistant Post:

i. Candidates can download the application form from the websites of the Tamil Nadu State Judicial Academy (www.tnsja.tn.gov.in) or recruitment portal of the Madras High Court (www.mhc.tn.gov.in). Candidates applying for both the posts shall submit separate applications.

ii. No application fee is payable.

iii. The filled-in printout of the downloaded application form along with required enclosures shall be sent by Registered Post to “The Registrar (Recruitment), High Court, Madras – 600 104” on or before 22.01.2021, by 05.00.p.m.. (OR) The candidates can take out the print out of the application form, fill up all the columns and send the scanned copy of such filled in application along with self-attested scanned copies of documents, as mentioned in para No.9 below, by e-mail to recruitment.mhc@gov.in.
