1. Draftsman
(Mechanical-Machinery Outfit) - Qualification:
Essential: Three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Board of
Technical Education of the State Government. Experience: Essential: Two years’ experience in design and drafting of Machinery / Machinery
Outfit / Pipe outfit / Ship systems in a Shipyard/commercial establishment. |

2. Draftsman
(Electrical) - Qualification:
Essential: Three years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Board of
Technical Education of the State Government. Experience: Essential: Two years’ experience in design and drafting of electrical systems for
ships in a Shipyard/commercial establishment. |
Age Limit: (As
on 06.06.2023)

Exceed 28 years |

The
Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for
Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC
PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper

UCSL Draftsman Selection Process 2023:
a) The method of
selection for the post of Draftsman shall include Objective/Descriptive
followed by Practical/Skill tests and Personal Interview. Accordingly, the weightages
are assigned to the following parameters for the final selection:
- Objective/Descriptive -
50% weightage
- Practical/Skill Test -
40% weightage
- Personal Interview -
10% weightage
Total - 100 Marks
