TIFR Data Engineer Eligibility Criteria:
Educational
Qualification:
|
1. Software
Controls Engineer - Essentials: Bachelor’s degree in Technology/Engineering/Engineering
Physics/Physics/Computer Science with a average of 60% or above or it’s
equivalent CGPA. Demonstrable experience in a modern programming language
e.g. C, C++ or Python Linux operating system experience. Desirable: Experience with Distributed Control System (EPICS) would be an
advantage, however full training will be provided. A good understanding of
scientific instruments (e.g. Oscilloscopes, Power supplies, delay generators
etc). Good understanding of modern Software Development life cycles.
Experience with Version control systems. |

2. Software
Engineer – Front-End Developer – Essentials: Bachelor’s degree in Technology/Engineering/Engineering
Physics/Physics/Computer Science with a average of 60% or above or it’s
equivalent CGPA. Proven commercial work experience in designing, building and
maintaining highly reusable applications using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Understanding of layout aesthetics such responsive design (CSS grid, flexbox,
media queries, etc.) Experience in creating and maintaining user-interface
designs, wireframes and mockups. Desirable: Working experience of developing front-end applications in ASP.NET,
Blazor, etc. Strong understanding of modern software development life cycles
such as requirement gathering, planning, software design & development,
testing and deployment. Experience with a Git-based workflow (branches,
issues, code review, pull requests). |

3. Software
Engineer – Full Stack .NET Developer - Bachelor’s degree in Technology/Engineering/Engineering
Physics/Physics/Computer Science with a average of 60% or above or it’s
equivalent CGPA. Demonstrable commercial experience with C# (ASP.NET Core,
Blazor, WPF, WinForm) Demonstrable experience of working with front-end
languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Good understanding of modern
software development life cycles such as requirement gathering, planning,
software design & development, testing and deployment. Good understanding
of software design patterns, such as MVVM. Good understanding of
Object-Oriented principles, such as SOLID. Desirable: Experience of using different database technologies, e.g. MS SQL
Server, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, etc. Working knowledge of Web API and REST
API. Working knowledge of writing unit tests. Experience with a Git-based
workflow (branches, issues, code review, pull requests). |

4. Data
Engineer – Essentials: Bachelor’s degree in Technology/Engineering/Engineering
Physics/Physics/Computer Science with a average of 60% or above or it’s
equivalent CGPA. Demonstrable experience in Python programming languages. Desirable: Experience with Rust programming language. Experience with Javascript
and React framework. Familiarity with Apache Kafka or similar streaming data
platforms. Understanding of Grafana or similar data visualization tools.
Experience in scientific data handling. Experience with a Git-based workflow
(branches, issues, code review, pull requests). |
