ICMR-NIRT Project Assistant Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
|
1. Project Scientist B (Non-Medical) - Essential qualification: 1 st Class Master’s
degree in Life Sciences from a recognized University with 2 years’ experience
in related field. OR 2 nd Class Master’s Degree with Ph.D in Life Science
from a recognized University. OR BDS/B.V.Sc degree with one year experience. Desirable Qualification: - Doctorate degree
in relevant subject from a recognized university for candidates with first
class relevant degree. - Additional
Post-doctoral research/ training experience in relevant subject in recognized
institute(s). - Two years R&D
/ Teaching experience in relevant subject after obtaining essential
qualification. - Knowledge of
Computer Applications and Data Management. |

2. Project Technical Officer - Essential qualification: Graduate in Life Science from a recognized
university with five years’ work experience from a recognized Institution. OR
Master’s degree in Life Science. |
|
3. Project Assistant - Essential qualification: Graduate in Life Science from a recognized
university with three years’ work experience from a recognized Institution.
OR Master’s degree in Life Science. |
|
4. Project Senior Research Fellow - Essential qualification: Post Graduate in Life Science with two years
research experience |
|
5. Project Technical Officer - Essential qualification: Master’s degree in Medical
Virology/Microbiology/ Biotechnology / Life Sciences with at least 2 years
working experience in a molecular diagnostic laboratory or other laboratory. |
Age Limit:

1. Project Scientist B (Non-Medical) - Not exceeding 35
years |

2. Project Technical Officer - Not exceeding 30
years |
|
3. Project Assistant - Not exceeding 30
years. |
|
4. Project Senior Research Fellow - Not exceeding 35 years. |

5. Project Technical Officer - Not exceeding 30
years. |
The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for
SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for
SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India
rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt.

Salary Details:

Rs.48,000/- p.m. |

Rs.31,000/- p.m. |

4. Project Senior Research Fellow - Consolidated salary
Rs.35,000/- + HRA of Rs.9,450/- p.m. |

5. Project Technical Officer - Consolidated salary
Rs.34,650/- p.m. |

Post:
The Candidates should bring filled application form in the
prescribed format which can be downloaded from websites www.nirt.res.in,
www.icmr.nic.in at ICMR-National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis, No.1,
Mayor Sathyamoorthy Road, Chetpet, Chennai 600031 along with self-attested
copies of all credentials in support of educational qualifications, age,
caste/community and affixing a colour passport size photograph on the
application form while reporting for walk-in written test/interview on the date
and time mentioned above. Original Certificates of all these credentials should
also be carried with for verification.
