APPSC Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector Eligibility Criteria:
Educational
Qualification:
|
1. Assistant
Motor Vehicle Inspector in Transport Department - i) Must hold a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile
Engineering of a University in India established or incorporated by or under
a Central Act or a Provincial Act or a State Act or institution recognized by
the University Grants Commission or any equivalent qualification. OR Must
hold a Diploma in Automobile Engineering issued by the State Board of
Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh or Technological Diploma
Examination Board, Hyderabad or any other equivalent qualification; and ii) Must hold a Motor Driving License and have experience in driving
motor vehicles for a period of not less than 3 years and possess Heavy
Transport vehicles endorsement. Provided that where persons with 3 years
experience in driving motor vehicles are not available, persons with two
years experience in driving motor vehicles may be appointed. Provided further
that in case of Women, they must hold a Motor Vehicle driving license, if
they are holder of Light Motor Vehicle Driving License only, they shall
acquire the Heavy Transport Vehicle Endorsement within two years of their
joining the service as Assistant Motor Vehicles Inspector, failing which
their services will be terminated without assigning any reasons. As per
clarification received vide LrR.No:4211/C3/2016, dt:09/09/2022 from the
Transport Department. As per section 02 at Sl.No:28 of Motor Vehicles Act,
1988 a motor vehicle is defined a “Motor vehicle “ or “Vehicle” means any
mechanically propelled vehicle adapted for use upon roads whether the power
of propulsion is transmitted there to from an external and internal source
and includes a chassis to which a body has not been attached and a trailer;
but does not include a vehicle running upon fixed rails or a vehicle of a
special type adopted for use only in a factory or in any other enclosed
premises or a vehicle having less than four wheels fitted with engine
capacity of not exceeding 25 cubic centimeters. |

Fee/Exam Fee for APPSC Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector:

- Applicant must pay Rs. 250/-
(Rupees two hundred and fifty only) towards application processing fee and Rs
80/- (Rupees eighty only) towards examination fee. - However, the following categories of candidates are exempted from
payment of 8 examination fee Rs.80/- only. i) SC, ST, BC & Ex-Service Men. ii) Families having household supply white card issued by Civil
Supplies Department, A.P. Government. (Residents of Andhra Pradesh) iii) Un-employed youth as per G.O.Ms.No.439, G.A (Ser- A) Dept., dated:
18/10/1996 should submit declaration at an appropriate time to the
Commission. iv) Applicants belonging to the categories mentioned above (except
Physically Handicapped Persons & Ex-Service Men) hailing from other
States are not entitled for exemption from payment of fee and not entitled
for claiming any kind of reservation. v) Candidates belonging to other States shall pay the prescribed fee of
Rs.80/-(Rupees eighty only), along with processing fee of Rs. 250/- (Rupees
two hundred and fifty only) through different channels as indicated at
Para-8. Otherwise such applications will not be considered and no
correspondence on this will be entertained. Mode of Payment of Fee: i) The Fee mentioned in the above paragraph is
to be paid online using payment gateway using Net Banking/ Credit card /
Debit Card. The list of Banks providing service for the purpose of online
remittance of fee will be available on the website. |

online through Commission’s Website https://psc.ap.gov.in The application can
be submitted from 02/11/2022 to 22/11/2022 (Note: 21/11/2022 is the last date
for payment of fee upto 11:59 mid night).
