UPSC Assistant Professor (Mechatronics) in Integrated Headquarters (Navy) Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:  

1. Assistant Professor (Mechatronics) in Integrated Headquarters (Navy) - First class Master’s degree in Mechatronics. DESIRABLE: (i) Teaching, Research, Industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organization. (ii) Papers presented at conferences and/or in referred journals. NOTE: The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified

2. Assistant Defence Estates Officer in Defence Estates Organization - Degree in Engineering (Civil) from a recognized University or equivalent* *The interpretation of ‘Equivalent’ here means any Technical Institute recognized by AICTE/UGC and not to be construed as Educational Qualification. NOTE: The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified

3. Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Armament) in Directorate General Quality Assurance - Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering from a recognized University. (B) EXPERIENCE: Two years’ practical experience in production or development or quality assurance in the field of Ammunition and Weapon used by the Armed Forces. DESIRABLE: Minimum six months certificate course in German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese language from a recognized institute.

4. Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Chemistry) in Directorate General Quality Assurance - (i) Engineering Degree in Chemical Technology or M.Sc (Analytical Chemistry) or M.Sc (Organic Chemistry) from a recognized university. (B) Experience: Two years’ practical experience in Production or Development or Quality Assurance in the field of Petroleum products / Paints & Chemical products. Desirable: Minimum six months certificate course in German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese language from a recognized institute.

5. Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Engineering) in Directorate General Quality Assurance - B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering from a recognized University. (B) EXPERIENCE: Two years’ practical experience in Production or Development or Quality Assurance in the field of Mechanical / Electrical / Automobile products. DESIRABLE: Minimum six months certificate course in German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese language from a recognized institute.

6. Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Gentex) in Directorate General Quality Assurance - B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgical / Textile Engineering /M.Sc (Botany) / M.Sc (Chemistry) from a recognized University. (B) EXPERIENCE: Two years practical experience in Production or Development or Quality Assurance in the field of Footwear/ Textile & Clothing /Polymers / Timbers /Mechanical & Metallurgical equipment / items. DESIRABLE: Minimum six months certificate course in German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese language from a recognized institute.

7. Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Instrumentation) in Directorate General Quality Assurance - Masters Degree in Electronics / Applied Physics or B.E./B.Tech in Electronics Engineering / Electronics Technology from a recognized University. (B) EXPERIENCE: Two years practical experience in Production or Development or Quality Assurance in the Instrumentation and Control Systems covering Optics and Opto Electronics fields. DESIRABLE: Minimum six months certificate course in German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese language from a recognized institute.

8. Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Metallurgy) in Directorate General Quality Assurance - B.E.(Metallurgy) /B.Tech (Metallurgy) from a recognized University. (B) EXPERIENCE: Two years practical experience in Production or Development or Quality Assurance in Metallurgical field. DESIRABLE: Minimum six months certificate course in German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese language from a recognized institute.

9. Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Military Explosives) in Directorate General Quality Assurance - B.E /B.Tech in Chemical Engineering / Technology or Master degree in Chemistry from a recognized University. (B) EXPERIENCE: Two years’ practical experience in Production or Development or Quality Assurance in the field of Military Explosives. DESIRABLE: Minimum six months certificate course in German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese language from a recognized institute.

10. Assistant Director (Economist) in Central Institute of Coastal Engineering for Fishery - Master's Degree in Economics with Statistics or Master's Degree in Commerce with Statistics of a recognized university. (B) EXPERIENCE: Three years’ experience in survey research in the field of primary industries in agriculture preferably in a Government department or recognized institute or university or autonomous or statutory organization. DESIRABLE: Two years’ experience in drafting reports on evaluation preferably in a Government department or recognized institute or university or autonomous or statutory organization.

11. Assistant Director (Information Technology) in the Office of the Registrar General & Census Commissioner of India - (i) Masters Degree in Computer Applications or Information Technology or Computer Science or Software Engineering from a recognized University or Institute OR Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Technology or Computer Science and Engineering or Software Engineering or Information Technology or Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized University or Institute. (B) EXPERIENCE: Three years experience in electronic data processing or experience of actual computer programming or software development or data base management system or web designing or networking or organizing computerized information storage and retrieval system or data security.

Assistant Director (Horticulture) in Central Public Works Department – M.Sc. in Agriculture with specialization in Horticulture of a recognised University/ Institute; or M.Sc. in Horticulture with Floriculture or Olericulture as a subject of a recognised University/ Institute or M. Sc. in Botany with Horticulture as a subject of a recognised University/Institute or B.Sc. in Agriculture/Botany/Horticulture with Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture of a recognised University/Institute; or M.sc. in Floriculture and Landscaping or Horticulture from a recognised University/Institute. (B) EXPERIENCE: Two years’ experience in Horticulture including Ornamental gardening.

13. Medical Officer (Ayurveda) in Directorate of AYUSH - (i) Degree in Ayurveda of a recognized University or Statutory State Board/Council of equivalent recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 (48 of 1970). (ii) Enrolment in State Register or Central Register of Ayurveda

UPSC may follow the following process to select the candidates.

1.	Recruitment Test
2.	Interview

 

Application Fee/Exam Fee for UPSC Senior Scientific Officer: 

(a) Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.

(b) No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community. No "fee exemption" is available to Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.

(c) Applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection would be entertained.
