Eligibility
Criteria for UPSC Vacancy 2021:
Educational
Qualification:
|
1. Assistant
Keeper - Educational: (i) Master’s Degree in Anthropology from a recognized university or
Institute. (ii) Diploma in Museology from a recognized university or Institute. Desirable: At least one year’s experience of handling, maintaining and
preserving specimens in a recognized museum |

2. Fisheries
Research Investigation Officer - Educational: Masters Degree in Zoology with specialization in Fisheries or M.F.Sc
or M.Sc in Marine Biology or M.Sc in Industrial Fisheries or M.Sc in
Aquaculture or M.Sc in Fisheries Science from recognized University of
Institute. Experience: Three Years experience in the field of Fisheries development including
policy and planning, formulation and technical evaluation of plan schemes,
their monitoring and implementation and handling parliamentary matter from a
Central or State Government Department or Public Sector Undertaking or
recognized Research Institute or Semi Government or Statutory or Autonomous
Organization. |

3. Principal
Officer (Engineering) cum-Joint Director General(Technical) Educational: (i) Certificate of competency of Marine Engineer Officer Class-I(Steam
or Motor or Combined Steam and Motor) as specified in Section 78 of the
Merchant Shipping act,1958(44 of 1958) or equivalent as specified in section
86 of the said Act and five year’s Service at sea of which one year service
as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer. (ii) Certificate of competency of extra first class Engineer as
Specified in Section 78 of the Merchant Shipping act,1958(44 of 1958) or
equivalent as specified in section 86 of the said Act and Ten years’ of
experience in survey and inspection of foreign going merchant ships and
equipments on board such Ships. OR Post Graduate Diploma in Maritime
Operation and Management awarded by the Indian Institute of Technology or
equivalent and twelve years of experience in survey and inspection of foreign
going merchant ships and equipments on board such ships OR M.Sc degree in
Maritime Affairs covering all aspects of ‘Administration of Maritime Safety
and Environment Protection from the World Maritime University, Malmo, Sweden
or equivalent’ and twelve years experience in survey and inspection of
foreign going merchant ships and equipment on board such ships. |

Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for
Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC
PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper

Fee/Exam Fee:
(a)
Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only
either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net
banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.
(b)
No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community. No "fee
exemption" is available to Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates and they are
required to pay the full prescribed fee.
(c)
Applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and summarily
rejected. No representation against such rejection would be entertained.
(d)
Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstance nor can the fee be
held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
