Eligibility Criteria for PRSC Vacancy 2020:

Educational Qualification:

1.	Jr. Research Fellow (Web GIS Developer– Open Source)	B.E. /B.Tech. Degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Technology or equivalent with at least one year experience. OR Masters Degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Technology, Remote Sensing / GIS / Geoinformatics / Geomatics or equivalent**Equivalent: Qualifying degree other than mentioned above may be relaxed for candidates having at least one year experience as mentioned in the desirable qualifications. Analytical, reasoning, logical thinking and programming skill is mandatory Desirable Qualification: Excellent knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Angular JS and JQuery. Experience in Open Source GIS components like Open layers, leaflet, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, will be an added advantage. Proficiency with Java technologies. Working with Web Mapping API (Mapbox, ESRI) and Open Geo (Geo Server). Working with Geospatial data (SHP, KML, Geo JSON) as well as OGC standards (WMS, WFS).RS data processing using any scripting languages (Python, MATLAB and IDL).Good ability to anticipate issues and formulate remedial actions. Candidates having experience in Remote Sensing & GIS (in addition to above qualifications) may be given preference
2.	Jr. Research Fellow (JRF)-Remote Sensing and GIS	First Class Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant subjects from a recognized and reputed institute/ University with graduation in Science or Engineering discipline only. Relevant subjects: Remote Sensing & GIS/Geoinformatics/ Geomatics or Physics/Botany/Forestry/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Geography/ Environmental Sciences /Agricultural Sciences/ Earth Sciences with diploma in Remote Sensing and GIS or one year working experience in Remote Sensing & GIS from reputed organizations. Note: Candidates having more experience and qualification in relevant field and meeting all criteria as prescribed against each post shall be given weightage. Desirable: i. Fast Learner and team worker. ii. Good Knowledge of GIS and Digital Imaging Processing Software’s iii. Good knowledge of analysing microwave/hyperspectral/multispectral remote sensing data
3.	Project Fellow (PF)	Graduate with Science & Engineering stream AND three months experience.
