Eligibility Criteria for 45 Company Army Service Corps (Supply) Vacancy 2019:

Educational Qualification:

1.	Fireman	(i) 10th Standard pass from a recognized Board or equivalent. (ii) Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguishers, hose fittings, fire appliances and equipments fire engines, trailer, pumps, foam branches. (iii) Must be familiar with the use and maintenance of first-aid, fire fighting appliances and Trailer Fire Pump. (iv) Must know elementary principles of Fire Fighting methods employed in fighting different types of fire. (v) Must be conversant with foot and appliance Fire Service Drills and be able to perform the task allotted to the members of fire crew. (vi) Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must have passed the physical fitness test as intimated in the advertisement.

Abbreviations: UR (Gen) Unreserved (General), SC-Scheduled Caste, ST-Scheduled Tribe, OBC-Other Backward Classes, & ESM – Ex-serviceman.

(a) Ex-Serviceman Resultant age after deducting period of service from actual age should not exceed prescribed age limit by more than 3 years. Calculation of age shall be as per the category for which the application has been made. No physical test will be conducted for Ex serviceman. On selection, Ex-serviceman will be adjusted against respective category i.e UR (Gen)/SC/ST/OBC.

(b) Age relaxation upto five years is available for candidates who have originally been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01-01-1980 to 31-12-1989 or as per Govt. Policy / orders as applicable. Photocopy of certificate to this effect issued either by District Magistrate concerned within whose jurisdiction the candidate is ordinarily residing or other authority designated in this behalf by the Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir be attached with Application and original one to be produced at the time of physical reporting for tests.

(c) Age relaxable for government servants for the post of Fireman upto the age 40 years in the case of UR (Gen) candidate and 45 years in the case of candidates belonging to the SC/OBC category.

(d) No age relaxation is admissible to SC/OBC candidates applying against unreserved posts

Acknowledgement / Admit Card as per Appendix ‘B’ and certificates from Attesting Authority to be typed on separate A4 size plain papers.
